Velvet, brocade, tapestry, linen... fabrics were omnipresent in the Renaissance. If the textiles of this period are few to have reached us because of their fragility, some works give us a testimony of their richness and brilliance. This visit invites you to take a look at the collections of the Palais des Beaux-Arts to discover the production techniques and uses of fabric in furniture and clothing during the Renaissance.
