On the border between Roubaix and Tourcoing, the beech garden is a jewel of unspoilt nature. This site, marked by the history of the Ducatteau farm and the windmill of the Frémaux family, takes its name from a remarkable purple beech, the oldest tree in Roubaix. Now an ecological reserve, it is also a place for environmental education run by the association Astuce.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Beech gardens open their doors for free visits through a marked route:

  • Exhibition of paintings by Julien Ravalomantsoa
  • Photographic exhibition on the history of the station and the railway along the garden
  • Plant braiding workshop on Saturday from 4 PM to 5 PM
