This autumn, Texture invites you to discover Soft Objects, in the world of Gaspard Fleury-Dugy, visual artist and designer who explores the graphic language of curls, meshes and lines in textiles. His work navigates with ease between design and art, between digital precision and unexpected movement, and unfolds in a lively and playful visual vocabulary. Enter its colorful universe and let yourself be surprised by a landscape of objects that take shape like a soft architecture.
Gaspard Fleury-Dugy’s first collection, Soft Objects, earned him international recognition and a recognizable signature in contemporary textile design. His sculptures combine organic forms and futuristic details, where references to classical vases, modernist architecture and digital visual culture appear. Bright, almost fluorescent colours inspired by sportswear highlight the folds and give each object a vibrant tension. Today, his research extends to luminous objects, graphic works and new applications of knitted structures, including a series of interior objects in development. At Texture, we willingly offer him the necessary space to deepen these experiments and create a new work especially for this exhibition.
Gaspard Fleury-Dugy is a designer and visual artist, he lives and works in Paris. His practice is nourished by textile techniques and the graphic vocabulary that results from them. Former trapeze artist, he sees his work as a series of flexible and colorful pirouettes: a game of movement, balance and rhythm.
He studied at the École Duperré in Paris and at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås (Sweden), where he developed a personal universe in which machine, digital technology, craftsmanship and imagination meet. Knitting is a form of construction, and the industrial knitting machine is the "pencil" with which he develops a new formal language that transforms the thread into volume, structure, and architecture.
In 2023, he received the Sisley Young Creators Grant. Since then, his work has been presented at the design weeks of Paris, Milan, Eindhoven, Madrid and Stockholm. In 2024, his work was exhibited in the window of the shop at the Pompidou Center in Paris. In 2025, he was selected for the Design Beyond Things exhibition at the Osaka World Expo and participated in the Design Disco Club at the Lafayette Anticipations Foundation. He is now considered an emerging talent on the international textile scene.
