“Lucy Ferney. That’s my name. I’m nine years old, and today is the day Mom forgot me.”
Lucy Ferney lives alone with her mom, who tries to make a living as a cashier for customers who sometimes don’t even see her. Lucy is for her a breath of fresh air, a sun that makes her forget her worries. Together, they dream of seeing the sea and leaving their little apartment. But for Lucy’s mom, life is a constant race.
That night, Lucy is alone outside of school and can’t go home. The hours pass. The supervisor, the director and a police officer on duty are trying to find a solution. The concern is growing. The situation is becoming increasingly embarrassing because everyone has their own personal concerns.
