Multi-awarded, internationally acclaimed with a trilogy of short pieces around the female figure, Leïla Ka proposes with Maldonne her first group piece. The choreographer reveals and dresses, in all senses of the word, fragilities, revolts and multiple identities, to attempt an exploration of the feminine. Between contemporary dance and theatricality, it was no less necessary than this striking and energetic ballet, to the rhythm of silences, breaths and music – from Vivaldi to Léonard Cohen to Lara Fabian – to rehash the cards and conjure in the sorority, the malformation of inequalities.
