The Travelling Planetarium

  • Exposition

As for Utopia in 2022, the travelling Planetarium of the Departmental Forum of Sciences will be back as close as possible to the children of the metropolis. The team of the Forum Départemental des Sciences de Villeneuve d'Ascq proposes a special session for FIESTA around time relativity, the formation and organization of our early calendars and the importance of astronomy in determining religious holidays as pagan.
Welcome under the stars! The first part of the projection is designed as a fictional travel story. The main character, accompanied by his cat, will discover how humans, everywhere on Earth, used their observations of the sky to locate themselves in time. In addition to their natural beauty, the regular appearance of stars, the Moon or planets in the sky are indeed good landmarks for creating a time-slicing.
In the second part, in interaction with children, the mediator can deepen certain notions, locate the Moon and its phases, the stars, recall the principle of constellations and locate them.
Duration: 55’ (+9 years). Free on reservation at 03.20.81.59.03 or culture@ville-wattrelos.fr
