The Villeneuve d'Ascq Gardeners Association celebrates its 20th anniversary on June 27, 2026 at the Ferme du Héron from 10:15 am.
Founded in April 2006 to resume and develop the local activities of the Association of Gardeners of France (formerly Jardins Ouvriers de France), the association will propose three major events for its anniversary.
"Sharing the knowledge of gardening" is the credo of the association, which offers a varied program of activities throughout the year, according to the possibilities of the volunteers who animate them and the successive expectations of the members. Among these, we can mention a gardening training, the monthly talks Paroles de Jardiniers or workshops of practice and advice in gardening.
Every year, a plant swap takes place in spring and autumn, with also a part to learn how to garden while observing other gardens. Some of these activities are carried out in partnership with the APC and AAVAL associations or other ad hoc partnerships.

Meeting at the Heron Farm on June 27

A retrospective of their 20 years of activities on June 27 at the Ferme du Héron at 10:15 am, followed at 12:30 pm by a shared meal with members, garden animations, upon prior registration and participation in fees.
At 3:30 p.m.: conference on the role of subsoil microorganisms in plant development, moderated by Mrs. Lounes, Professor at the Littoral University.
