La Bergère
More than twenty years after the release of Ouvarosa, his first album, the trio la Bergère is back with a new accordionist and a new repertoire. Faithful to its beginnings, the Bergère continues to assemble ageless lament and original creations, all songs essential to its plural and singular identity at the same time.
Gathered around the singer Sylvie Berger, La Bergère brings together the words of contemporary poets and those of the oral tradition, to weave a precious fabric, changing, rough and chamarrée, similar to the life of «these people who are nothing». La Bergère makes it his stage costume, for concerts where the real and the imaginary are juggling and caressing each other, united by the graces combined with a baroque blues and poetry turning to folk song.
In a semi-rural, semi-urban setting, the songs from popular tradition, and those of Gabriel Yacoub, Sylvie Berger, or Gaston Couté each deliver in their language, a tender and painful corpus, to better whisper, play, sing and celebrate the great passions that shelter our modesty.
