From 11 to 13 October, for its reopening weekend and the inauguration of its renovated Planetarium, the Forum départemental des Sciences François-Mitterrand invites you to numerous animations and family exhibitions.
Everything is free, reservation on site the same day.
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October from 2 PM to 6 PM, you can...
- Experiment "From time to time" for the 3-6 years accompanied (visits at 2:15 PM, 3:30 PM and 4:45 PM), with in addition a workshop "Pas que dans la tête" (at 2:15 PM, 3:30 PM and 4:45 PM), and explore the new exhibition "Vaisseau Terre" (visits at 2:15 PM, 2:45 PM, 3:15 PM, 3:45 PM, 4:15 PM, 4:45 PM and 5:00 PM).
- Team build a new city in Fiesta mode, for 7-12 years old, on Saturday from 3 PM to 4:30 PM.
- You embark on a wacky approach to science at the «Labo folies», a team game to save a teacher. For 7-12 years old, on Sundays from 3 PM to 4:30 PM
- Attempt to answer questions about the "AI, human, animals: the great duel of intelligence". From 12 years old, sessions at 2:15 PM, 3:15 PM, 4:15 PM and 5:15 PM. Free access.
- Delve deeper into the question of AI, again, with the workshop "Focus on images" How to fake a photo? Can we still trust our eyes? From 9 years old.
- Party at the doc space, with a selection of books on this theme, play there at "Biblio Bingo!" , or conduct an investigation alongside Inspector Leblanco (from 10 years old).
- Discover the new exhibition "Digital Intelligence": a unique exhibition that explores the role of research in the design and evolution of digital tools, highlighting their positive impact on society, particularly in the field of health.
The visitors follow the reflections of Ada, a teenager passionate about computer science, who designed AL, a small robot capable of thinking and maybe even feeling. They go on an adventure and ask themselves a thousand questions about AI, determined to find answers from researchers at Inria, Inserm, the CHU of Lille, the CNRS and the University of Lille.
The exhibition is free, at the Flânerie space, accessible from the 3rd class, from October 11 to November 9 at the Forum, before traveling in the Department.
A conference on the origins of the Universe
Monday, October 13 from 6:30 PM to 8 PM, Jean-Marc Lévy-Leblond, professor emeritus at the university of Nice, director of the journal Alliage, presents a conference on the theme "Did the universe really have a beginning?". From 15 years old. Online booking recommended.
