Feast of Saint John

  • Patrimoine et traditions

According to custom, those who wanted to ensure prosperity had to throw a coin into the fire. Come enjoy a bonfire to the sounds of a tavern. (Concert at 8 PM).
Appointment: free from 6 pm, last entry at 9:30 pm.
Duration: the evening (from 18h to 22h)
Audience: all audiences
From 6 PM until 9 PM: demonstration of long reins that simulate the coupling, in agricultural attire. By the pony club of Villeneuve d'Ascq Concert.
At 8:30 PM Le Beau Milo has been working since 2013 for the revival of the old-fashioned musette ball in the Hauts de France: from the musette of the origins, and its mysteries to the swing waltz of the 1940s through realistic songs, going as far as weaving a link with folk music. No synth, electric guitar, or glitter, but guinguette and swing musette like we don’t do anymore, with diatonic accordion, violin, banjo, "jâze" drums and of course singing! Duration 2h
From 5 PM: realization of wooden bundles with our villagers to make a large firewood that will be lit around 8:30 PM -9 PM. The opportunity to dance around the fire to celebrate the summer solstice
