As part of Fiesta, a cultural event hosted by lille3000, the artists of the Collectif des Ateliers Jouret are reinventing the imagination of parties and banquets. A sculpted, visual, sonorous and vibrant feast. The banquet becomes a pretext for staging the overflow, intensity and contrasts. The tablecloth escapes the eye, the fruits escape from the baskets, the proportions are reversed, the birds leave their nest. The universe slips into a soft extravagance. Far from being a mere re-enactment, the banquet becomes a playground of poetry and symbols. Everything changes: space, materials, colours, postures. Suspended times intersect with moments of euphoria. Absurd or tender details punctuate the visitor’s journey, invited to become a companion of a waking dream.
