A man during a long walk in the Alpes de Haute-Provence meets a shepherd. This shepherd lives alone in this hostile country. He plants trees. One hundred trees every day without expecting anything in return. A few years later, forests of oak, beech, birch, ash appear... The water has returned, the arid and desolate heath has become a land full of life! This fable evokes a wide echo in our time, (re)discover the work of Jean Giono by taking part in history.
