Discovery of the Calvary of the God of Marcq
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the City of Lille and CHAPELLES&CO, an association committed to the preservation, enhancement and transmission of the vernacular religious heritage of the Lille metropolitan area, invite you to (re)discover the Calvary of the God-of-Marcq.
Erected in the 17th century at the request of Louis XIV as an ossuary for the soldiers who died during the War of Devolution, this emblematic monument has recently undergone restoration. Come rediscover this little-known witness of the history of Lille and enjoy the mediation panel installed on the site, which traces the origin and history of its construction.
