Gaëtan Cheppe, lecturer and agent of the City of Lille, is responsible for the common service of underground quarries.
11 municipalities of the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) are concerned by underground quarries. The presentation allows to present the typology of underground quarries encountered in the territory, the associated risks but also the missions of the quarry service. The presentation also highlights the exceptional heritage represented by these underground buildings.
