A highly anticipated year 2025: a centennial exhibition pays tribute to him in Lausanne.
This artist intrigues, distours, but above all fascinates. Painter, engraver, writer and art critic of Swiss origin (1865-1925), he left us more than 1700 works. The smooth and polished appearance of the paintings, their distanced style retains the underlying tensions. As he likes to decipher with a biting realism the flaws of society especially he does not stop to scrutinize the beauties of the Laid only to examine with a magnifying glass the ugly of the Beautiful.
