Each year, the Société des Amis de la Piscine offers conferences on major current exhibitions or art history.
Sunday, April 11, 2027: Carthage, by Gunilla Lapointe
Based on three female portraits: Dido, Salammbô and Sophonisbe, and three male figures: Hamilcar, Hannibal and Scipio the African, who embody the city at key moments in its history. The arts produced in the Mediterranean basin, between 814 BC and today, dialogue and tell the story of the ancient city. The exhibition presents a summary of research on this cultural treasure of present-day Tunisia at the Louvre-Lens Museum, 24 March 2027 - 19 July 2027
