Space Impair proposed by Jazz in Vel'à
Espace Impair is the meeting of three musicians for whom music knows no boundaries. Inspired by the third stream approach—this current that blends jazz and scholarly music — the trio develops a singular and poetic universe, at the crossroads of jazz, classical music, traditional music, and pop.
Carried by influences as varied as Texier, Garbarek, Pieranunzi, Gismonti or Steve Reich, Espace Impair explores the balance between improvisation and writing through original compositions of great expressive richness.
The trio cultivates a unique sound color thanks to its atypical formation — flute, cello and piano—and shows a rare complicity on stage.
