Les Jardins ouvriers des Vertus in Aubervilliers are a natural parenthesis in the middle of urban concentration. For years, inhabitants have been cultivating their gardens, building links and maintaining contact with the living. This collective island is threatened by the construction of a solarium and a training pool for the 2024 Olympic Games and by the development of Grand Paris. Faced with the violence of the tractopelles, the gardeners in struggle invent a common laboratory, a haven of thought, a liberated territory. Between impressionist tale and struggle story, La Terre des Vertus takes a look at this garden-world that flourishes in the heart of urban life.
