Film debate on the occasion of National Caregiver Day

  • Cinéma

Laurène, 22 years old, leaves behind an image of a thirst for life overflowing despite the illness, as well as dozens of hours of videos she had shot to share her story. No one has ever seen his images and they had promised to make a movie about it with his twin brother.
Following in the footsteps of his sister, Thomas then decides to question his memory, that of his family and to fulfill his promise.
This poignant film traces Laurène’s fight against leukaemia and highlights the essential role of her brother, a close caregiver.
Through this intimate and universal story, "Promise" questions the place of young caregivers, often invisible, but deeply committed.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with:

  • A psychologist specialized in supporting young caregivers at the Northern Committee
  • Testimonies
This debate aims to open the floor on the realities of daily life, the specific needs of caregivers, and the concrete solutions proposed by the Committee.
