'Bartolina' is a performance-installation inspired by the figure of Bartolina Sisa (1750–1782), an Aymara woman and a reference for decolonial feminisms from Abya Yala (the Americas). Silenced by official history, her memory embodies a genealogy of female resistance to colonial patriarchy, echoing in Latin America as well as in Europe. Through dance, archives and symbolic objects, we weave a living space where invisible memories become visible. This creation questions our plural identities, connects ancestral knowledge to other ways of thinking about feminisms beyond Western frameworks and extends the notion of matrimony to recognize that our common heritage is also borne by the struggles of indigenous women.
