Arrival of the Nomad Tribe [JEP 2026]

The Nomadic Tribe

Between 2015 and 2021, François Dewisme modeled characters full of humanity. Turned, assembled, decorated, they are all different and yet quite identifiable as part of a tribe. This one took the name: the Nomadic Tribe.
This artistic installation features characters who travel, symbolizing exile, displacement, the encounter with others, the discovery of new cultures and peaceful coexistence between peoples. Bearers of hope, tolerance and peace, these nomads travel across the country and invite everyone to reflect on the richness of human diversity and the bonds that unite individuals beyond borders.

Programme

Friday 18 September
19h · Arrival and reception of the tribe at the marina
19:15 · Stroll from the Port to the Château de Robersart
19:30 · Inauguration in the courtyard of the Castle
Wandering throughout the weekend in the Parc de Robersart.
The Tribe will then be visible in the courtyard of the Château until mid-October.

Cultural Action

CM1 students from Wambrechies schools are invited to discover the tribe during a guided tour, then participate in a clay modeling workshop to create the imaginary descendants of this tribe.
Their creations will remain in Wambrechies as a testimony of their encounter with the work and their reflection on welcoming, sharing and living together.
