A camp of knights comes to life at the Museum! Introduce yourself to sword fights alongside villagers from the Middle Ages. Live a show of fights and jousts for an unforgettable knightly immersion. Appointment: from 10 am

At 11am and 4pm: Great medieval knighthood tournament combining action and equestrian stunts. From the company Cow Prod. This stage and historical adaptation plunges the audience into the heart of a knighthood tournament of the Middle Ages, with the presentation and staging of famous chivalric bravery events such as sliced apples, rings, quintaine or even the broken shield. The show features jousting duels with broken spears, sword, axe and shield fights, as well as spectacular physical and equestrian stunts. It is performed by 4 riders and their 4 horses, accompanied by 2 squires.
At 10:30 AM: Let yourself be carried away by a horse-riding procession of knights, proposed by the company Cowprod, between elegance, power and medieval legend.
From 10am to 7pm: Griffon Camp. Come discover, for a day, the daily life of the knight and his company. In a camp composed of two tents equipped as at the time, you will discover medieval calligraphy and heraldry, hygiene and cosmetics, pilgrims' insignia (their function, their history), lithotherapy and games. The little knights will be able to follow an initiation course in knighthood and cross swords or wear a knight’s helmet.
From 10am to 7pm: The Flemish Militia - 15th century Flemish craftsmen’s camp: Admire the reconstitution of a 15th century Flemish militia, bringing together artisans defending their territory. Come and discover stone cutting, herbalism, barber surgery, blacksmithing, heraldry, calligraphy, weapons, armour and cannons as well as high works (in other words torture). This from a technical point of view but also their places in medieval society. Around this, you will see the life of camps, cooking and daily life.
At 3 PM: conference on historical fashion and textile know-how of the time: the costume is a living mirror of past societies.
From 11am to 12pm and from 3:30pm to 5:30pm: Introduction to Needle Embroidery: Aglaé Plaete, costume designer offers you an introduction to needle embroidery. It will address some essential points to start in this field and realize his first textile works. In the field of historical reenactment, several textile fields are used for the manufacture of costumes, including hand sewing and needle embroidery. It turns out that these two specialties have many common points, so what better than starting in embroidery to understand historical sewing?
At 11am-6pm: Appointment with the museum’s animals for a guided tour led by one of our villagers in reconstruction. You can also find our weekend activities, led by our villagers, such as guided tours or the school of yesteryear...
