What if your data made a difference for coastal biodiversity?
Le Wagon Lille, in partnership with Data for Good, BioLit and APEC, invites you to two evenings to contribute to a concrete environmental impact project.
In two guided sessions, you will create data visualizations for BioLit, a participatory science program on marine biodiversity, the results of which will be published on their website to help researchers and contributors better study and preserve our coastlines.
Who is this event for?
This event is open to everyone, whatever your level, beginners welcome!
No technical prerequisites are required.
The tool used, Metabase does not require any prior programming experience.
To live the complete experience and see your project come to life, we strongly recommend you to participate in both sessions: it is during the second evening that you will be able to finalize your visualizations and see the concrete result of your work!
Just bring your computer and be present at the beginning of the first session.
What you will learn:
✅ Create concrete data visualizations with Metabase (drag & drop and SQL initiation)
✅ Work as a team on a real project with ecological and social impact, from raw data to online publication
✅ Discover the challenges and professions of data through a practical and collaborative experience
